Knowledge Management The Open Directory entry for Knowledge Management defines it as: "A discipline that examines information and human understanding, using concepts from education, information technology, cognitive psychology and library science." In other words, knowledge management is an umbrella term covering how information can be better stored, retrieved and used by individuals and organisations. One KM buzzphrase in popular use is 'information overload', where productivity is said to suffer because there is too much information available. |
