Memento is an open-source project, created to realise some long-cherished ideas.
If you've read the white paper
you'll also have seen it's quite ambitious in scope. How much of the dream is
realisable? I suppose that depends on how many pairs of hands work on it.
If what you've read so far stimulates you, and you'd like to join the Memento
development effort, feel free to get in touch.
Knowledge of Java and XML are the only prerequisites. The job of the moment shows
the area I'm currently focussing on, and where contibutors would be most useful.

The idea is to create a publishing hub that can be notified of newly published
content. Such facilities exist for conventional weblogs, e.g. blogdex.net,
and seems an interesting mechanism to replicate for the progation of memes.
